Item #SP17. A black polished hardstone Plummet measuring
1- 1/4" tall and 1- 1/8" wide. Grooved for suspension. It is from the 1865 excavation site of Clarence B Moore's
Dead River Mounds complex on the Oklawaha River in Marion County, Florida.

#43. A fine green steatite expanded center plummet, measuring 3 5/8" long, and 3/4" wide with a suspension groove at the top,
and a thinly engraved line encircling the widest portion of the piece, about two thirds of the way down. Rare material for
a Florida plummet. Found on Turtle Mound, near New Smyrna Beach, Florida in the 1950's by Norm Grogitski. Pictured in

Item: #217. A beautiful double ended stone plummet from
Florida. It measures 2 9/16" long and 7/16" wide, and is ground flat on both sides as is common on Florida stone and
shell plummets.

Item: #ST86a. An
unusually dark Florida plummet measuring 2 1/2" long and 15/16" wide. It is deeply grooved for suspension and is made
from what I believe to be river stained limestone. The material is pourous and light weight yet dense enough to hold a smooth
surface. It is flawless.

Item #3A. A stone Plummet from Citrus County, Florida.
It measures: 2" long and 1" wide. It is made of heavily patinated fossilized limestone. The groove is somewhat weathered,
probably from being rolled around in the surf. Woodland period: 1500BP. Pictured in CSAS Journal.

and 9/16" wide. It was found in Southwest Florida and is attributed to the Calusa cultural period. 800AD - 1600AD.

grooved for suspension measuring 2 1/4" long and 5/8" wide. It has been ground flat on both sides and was found near
Tampa Bay in West Central Florida.

was a personal find while digging on private property in Brandon, FL. near a small pond.

Gulfport, Pinellas County, Florida. It measures: 3 1/8" long and 1 3/8" wide. It is flat on both sides and about 5/8" thick.

be manufactured from river stained limestone. It was found in the Aucilla River in North Florida. It measures 2" long and
is about 1" in diameter. The hole is nicely drilled the entire length.
