A variety of rare atlatl finger loops from the Shaft Tomb Complex of West Mexico, primarily the Jalisco and Colima cultural horizon. 300BC-300AD. A pair of these type loops were lashed to the shaft of an atlatl to assist in launching projectiles. These crecent shell and stone style of loops are thought to have been an exclusive Mesoamerican trait. Two examples have been found in-situ, lashed to Aztec atlatls that currently reside in the British Museum in London.
