SEMINOLE PATCHWORK JACKET

Item # SJ2.  An authentic Vintage 1930s Seminole Patchwork Shirt/Jacket. It is all cotton and sewn on an old traditional treddle machine. There are four bands of cultural designs which include "Fire", "Man on Horseback", "Tree", and "Mountains".
This beautiful example of Seminole art is museum grade with only slight wear. It is a button front, with no liner and has no rickrack, placing it firmly in the early patchwork time period. Authentic vintage Seminole textiles in this condition are increasingly scarce.  (Please click on photo for additional views) $550.00

Item #SP4.  An old photographic reprint of Seminole women and children dressed in traditional clothing of the period. (about 1930)  This was taken at Silver Springs, Florida, and is mounted in the original old frame that measures 15 1/2" wide and 12 1/2" tall.  $30.00

Item #17GB.   A group of early glass trade beads from Nansemond County, Suffolk, Virginia. Found between the Nansemond River and Hwy 460 in 1976. The site was covered by construction in 1977.

Item #498G.  A Group of small glass Spanish Contact period beads from Gilchrist County, FL.  Included are 2 first generation Nueva Cadiz beads. One is the twisted variety and it is 18mm long. Another is the straight variety at 14.5mm long, Next is a tiny dark blue square sided stick bead at a little over 5mm long. The little Chevron is about 6mm.
